Watch: Ashish Nehra Loses His Temper As He Screams At GT Batter For Falling Into MI's Trap
Gujarat Titans head coach Ashish Nehra lost his temper as Gujarat Titans batter Sherfane Rutherford was caught in the deep on 18.

Gujarat Titans head coach Ashish Nehra lost his cool during his team’s IPL 2025 clash against Mumbai Indians on Saturday evening in Ahmedabad. With GT looking set for a total in excess of 200, the team suffered a batting collapse irking Nehra who famously oversaw their title winning campaign on debut in 2022.
The former India fast bowler was seen screaming his lungs out right after witnessing the big-hitting Sherfane Rutherford hole out in the deep after having got the start in the 19th over of GT innings.

Rutherford was on 18 off 10 when Deepak Chahar lured him into a big shot and had him caught by Mitchell Santner at long-off. His dismissal saw GT slip from 179/3 to 179/6 in the space of three deliveries and thus denting their chances of finishing with an imposing total.

A couple of lusty blows from Kagiso Rabada and Rashid Khan though helped GT finish at 196/8 from 20 overs.
Mohammed Siraj then gave GT a fine start in the defense of the target as he cleaned up both the MI openers – Rohit Sharma (8) and Ryan Rickelton (6) – cheaply.
The visitors though repaired the early damage thanks to a 62-run partnership between Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav for the third wicket. However, right-arm pacer Prasidh Krishna broke the threatening stand with the scalp of Varma on 39 and MI failed to recover.
Eventually, the five-time IPL winners were limited to 160/6 in 20 overs and thus succumbing to their second straight defeat in a row. GT thus secured their first win of the season after losing to Punjab Kings in their opening match.
Krishna finished with impressive bowling figures of 2/18 from four overs and won player-of-the-match award for his performance. “We were sitting and watching how the first innings went. So, we understood that cutters into the wicket were working well," Krishna said during the post-match presentation.
GT next face Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their first away game of the ongoing season.
