This was easy and pretty good! I read reviews and decided not to include the white sugar. And after making it, I don't even think I needed the brown sugar! It was plenty sweet and the unsweetened cream cheese provided a nice tang to the very sweet topping. I used 2 cans of drained cherries (not pie filling) which worked very nicely, but I feel it could have used even more fruit. Should I make this again, I'll try fresh fruit. Overall, a nice 4th of July dessert.
The only thing I will change next time is to reduce the sugar. I have a Meyer lemon tree and they are a little sweeter than other lemons. Otherwise, perfection!
I have used this method for several years now for our Christmas prime Rib. It comes out PERFECT every single time! No more guessing over such an expensive roast. Thanks Chef John!
This is very simple, but very good. Comfort food! I used a cooling rack over my baking dish since I don't have a broiling pan. It worked beautifully! Crispy, moist chicken, and all those yummy juices dripped into the potatoes & onions & apples. Greasy? maybe a little, but that is exactly what makes it tasty. I sauteed my potatoes with the onions and then mixed them with the apples. Everything was perfectly done in just shy of an hour.
I made 2. The first was exactly the recipe and it was very good. (I accidently tipped it & broke it apart, so I made another). I didn't have enough cream cheese for the 2nd, so the filling was a bit thinner, but I actually liked it better! So I would reduce the cream cheese to 1 1/2 pkgs instead of 2 (as well as reducing the Irish Cream liqueuer slightly). I am not a fan of whiskey or beer, but the cake is delicious. I also used just a chocolate cake mix with the pudding already in it for the 2nd cake. I didn't notice any difference, really, between the 2. Good recipe. Everyone loved it.
Great recipe! I seasoned the steaks with onion & garlic powder in addition to the salt & pepper. I also sauted mushrooms & onions and deglazed the pan with some cooking sherry before adding the beef broth & cream. Everyone loved the steaks and the sauce and there were no leftovers at all! Will definitely make this again!
We liked this. Used the pre-sliced pepperocinis. However, the next day made sliders with pepperjack cheese & cole slaw on Kaiser rolls. THAT was amazing! I will be making this again for sliders at the next BBQ.
Easy and very good. I'm not a fan of cumin, so I cut back on that and added some fresh diced tomatoes and fresh cilantro. Great for those nights you need a quick, simple dinner.
